Next step, look at the error.log after attempting local play, that can help *me* a lot. Then (lot of things I can suggest to help find the problem) write a batch file to play it locally without the BBS. Grab a sample dorinfo1.def and be sure the com line states COM0 and just go to the OS and type LUNATIX N0 (or N1 or whatever) and play locally and see if the same thing happens by bypassing your BBS altogether. Final thing, does your BBS make a drop other than Dorinfo? If so, switch... I can count at least twice that a sysop cured problems by just swapping drop file types to door.sys... go figure... -->Check your DOS configuration in OS/2 to see what windows have access to what COM ports. This could happen if he dropped carrier, or for some other reason had to quit the game while in the arena. All YOU have to do is, go into the editor, (type editor at the dos prompt from your TXDS directory) and change that players menu setting to one that offers the choice of fighting other players. Ind.South is the beginning menu everybody starts the game at, so that is a good choice. Another idea, to prevent this from happening again, is if possible, go into whatever scripts are runout of the arena menu and insert this line into them: new_start_menu "ind.north" then compile the script, and put it into x-engine.xed and this should fix the problem from ever happening again (unless the arena is completely menu driven with no scripts). **Subj : Kumite > I'm using Wildcat 4.X which uses door.sys (not callinfo.bbs). Second, are you setting your TWNODE environmental variable? This bug has been brought to my attention a couple times before and the only way to fix it for now (until the next release, that is) is to totally disable the transfer gold command in the bank. Just use the editor and set the command in the bank menu to have acs of "false". That should disable it. (ignore the ann ann.cfg line that just pulls up a bbs add of my own upon opening the game.) Here are both of my exitilus configs. node 1: c:\bbs\door.sys c:\bbs\doors\exiti c:\bbs local: c:\bbs\doors\exiti\door.sys c:\bbs\doors\exiti c:\bbs\doors\exiti Lets seeee....what else can i possibly tell you..... oh ya! I run a renegade board. so I set up two commands in my menu for picking the game. One pulls up exitil.bat (local) and one pulls up exiti.bat (remote) as seen above. for the local one, on access i put "N0" (node 0) and for remote i put "N1" (node 1). by listing these two at the menu editor it allows me to go pick the choice or a user to pick the same choice and it will run either way from one option on the menu. However, you must make sure that the "long desc" and "short desc" at the menu of the second choice is a blank, otherwise you will see it listed twice at the menu. One snag I have seen, when playing locally (sometimes) I have to have 60 min or less to play the game. There is a LOCAL.EXE file in the archive, run that to play locally to test it out. It works fine from my Door management program as well! -->Exitilus has givin me more headaches than I care to discuss, I had the same problem.. if running Exitilus.exe gives you Dropped Carrier then you need to use the command Exitilus port:F:p where P= your comm port. After crashing my system several times I finnaly got it to work, you need to keep an eye out for corrupted player files that the quests somtimes cause.. if you read the docs it will tell you how to clean them up.
