Volume 1.10 DECEMBER 1995 DOOR WORLD MAGAZINE Editor's Note: I have to say that reader feedback is virtually non-existent and we here at Door World are beginning to wonder if anyone is out there. I couldn't tell if anyone likes or dislikes Door World from the lack of responses. Door World continues to lose its regular columnists due to no other reason than what appears to them as a complete lack of interest with what they are writing. But they don't even know if this assumption on their part is true as they never hear from you. Remember Dustin Nulf?, Walter Cade?, Mike Jordan?. Well guys like Dave Wendling and Myles Bunbury will soon tire of writing for the sake of writing. Recently I have seen in different echoes talk about needing on-line magazine for doors. There is one! Often authors complain that advertising is expensive. Wake up folks, Door World advertises for FREE for all you door authors and sysops!!! Sysops and Authors disregard offers to be FEATURED each month even though it has become very easy to submit material for such a spotlight. Sysops and Authors need only supply the basic information as instructed in the "How to Submit" section in the magazine and it can be edited and pulled together here. Of course, the rumors that BBSes are going to be left by the wayside since the WEB and the Internet became so accessible may be true and Door World may have to expand its visions. This month CD-ROM On-Line joins Door World as a regular feature along with Patrick Grote's CompuNotes. The fifth installment of the InterNet series focuses on Mailing Lists and Bitnet. Also Part Three of the "How to" of Sysoping is included this month with a focus on message areas and making money from sysoping . The Hint Door also became available for downloading. Changes in pricing policy also become effective 12/1/95. $15 will now get you a life long subscription to Door World along with the Hint Door and its semi-annual updates. If you already are a subscriber to Door World then the Hint Door can be downloaded for free and your current subscription automatically is extended for the life of the magazine. As always we look forward to your comments but have come to expect none. Happy Holidays to all................. RoAnn Vecchia Editor þ
