Our BBS runs version 13b. We have several high level characters now (some 80+) and only one has ever found a Dwarven Body Armour. He also has the only Dwarven Battle Gauntlets, and one of very few Laurel Wreaths. This, with everything else has him at armour level 159, when everyone else is lucky to be around 120. Some users are really starting to wonder how this can be... A question for any and all: Are turmoil bolts worth using? They seem to give *several* advantages over the Adder Protection, but there is a resulting loss of 10 armour points. Are they worth it? (You can sell these things for 375,000 a pop!!) You gotta keep your countries strong. Fortifying down to 1 in alot of countries will get you taken out fast. So, only fortify when you need to kill off another country, or to protect a region you own. Could be how or what you are fortifying and how thin your spread yourself every day. Have you ever played RISK? You need to keep at least twice as many armies on each of the border countries than the countries you touch upon. ?> I try to log on once a day or at the very least every other ?> day....we're only allowed to play once every 12 hours, but I can't be ?> calling that often...is that the problem??? >>>You can only play 1 time a day, the 12 hours is the minimum time between turns only that just prevents you from taking a turn at say 11:30pm and then again right after midnight >>>If you only call every other day and the sysop has tweaked the game to allow plays every 12 hours, then you're probably only taking 1 turn for every 4 turns some of the other players are taking. You don't stand a chance of winning under those circumstances because the other players can collect far more armies than you can, and you can't gain as many countries since you aren't attacking as often. Your only hope of winning is to take a turn every 12 hours, or convince the sysop that it's unfair to allow turns every 12 hours when not everyone can play that often. Its also best to not expect fortifications to hold -diverisfy across the map when possible. Also, it is possible you may be facing a situation where someone is cheating by having more than one account on the system....check with the sysop on this possibility....especially if its always the same names you are facing.... �
