>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> MAIL BAG <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Questions and/or comments may be sent to Door World Magazine: FidoNet 1:321/227 PhoenixNet 33:900/0 also the NUGI echo in PhoenixNet Internet nugicon@delphi.com or any of the FidoNet door echoes Hi RoAnn, Just downloaded, set up, and read your sample of Online Door Magazine. I was much impressed. I was a little disappointed that most of the info on door programs didn't say which BBS systems, or types of systems they would run on. I'm using PCBoard 15.2 so I was looking for info on which could be used on my system. The interface for your information is very nice. I've got loads of text files that I would love to make available to my users. Why isn't the program that you use for Door Mag available for sysops so we can configure it to display our own information in the same manner as you have with your files??? Is Door Mag already available and being issued monthly? If so, for how many months now.. Looking forward to hearing more!!!!! Pete P. Well Pete I'll send your question about the program along to Dave Wendling who may be able to help you out as he wrote the program. As far as the magazine is concerned it is produced monthly. On 3/1/95 a demo version was released to the public as a means of advertising. Official subscriptions begin on 4/1/95. Editor /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Reader enjoys Hints Galore..... The bulletin board to which I subscribe (Cyber Zone, Warwick, RI) has recently obtained an electronic copy of your magazine DOOR WORLD and it seems to be something a lot of us will be interested in (there are over 150 doors here on the Zone). Matter of fact I enjoyed it so much myself that I sent the Sysop (Glen Moorehead) some partial sub- scription money so we can start receiving it here. I was particularly interested in the "Hints Galore" section and inso- far as I had quite a bit of experience with Food Fight, I thought you might be interested in various tips I have compiled over the last several months. I hope you find it of some value to your magazine. Regards, Larry F. Thanks alot for the overwhelming support to the magazine. Looking forward to your hints galore input for a future edition....... Editor /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Greetings Roann, Do you have the magazine in the TOC format (Reading Room)? John Hi John, We have to protect our investment and the articles are scrambled so that only our Door World BBS door and home computer version can read them. Editor /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Hello Roann! Door World is a great idea and all, but what about us unregistered people? Can't we read this magazine too? Warren If you do not have a BBS or know of a BBS that is carrying the registered version, there is a home computer version of the Magazine available on Dave Wendling's BBS and our FTP/WEB site. Of course this has to be registered as well but is cheaper than the regular subcription for BBS's which includes the BBS door for Door World Magazine. Editor þ
